It's Now Time
When you took my hand, you stole my heart
Only to pierce it, as if you wanted me to fall apart
Those tears I cried and those that still flow
They make me feel so very low
Low because I didn't listen to all the ones I live
Low because, among all else, I put you above
Low because all I wanted was to be loved in return
But I figured out the hard way that my esteem you would burn
I miss your smile, your beautiful face
And I miss that voice that made my heart race
I miss you telling me, "Your gonna be alright."
I mess talking to you in the dark of the night.
Those days are now gone, not a word left to say,
Except for the words, "I'm not okay."
Your happy now, I'm praying that a smile I can fake
And I'm praying I can let go of you, for my heart's sake
And even though with you, my memories are the best
It is now time to put all those memories to rest
