Muro
Muro is a wall that stands between you and I
it is a wall in our paths
between my goals and I
it is a wall that may shatter dreams but certainly not overcome them
it is an obstacle in life,
on which I need a way around.
Another way around
a shattered poem of faith
a crystal glass which shows the future
it is a representation of our union
a monument of pride for family
a backpack full of mixed feelings.
My name is Mexican
my heart as well,
full of laughs
emotions at uprise
my name is a barrier preventing all that is wrong
rejecting hatred
warming all hearts
and accepting forgiveness.
