Being Jealous
I sit here biting my lip, looking around
Waiting for a text message from you, as you text her too
To tell me everything will be okay
That we’ll be okay
I get jealous just like everybody else
I’m in love with you, how can I not get jealous?
I’m jealous she was the one you went to first
I’m jealous she hugged you before I did
Even by you simply waving hi
I’m jealous that she’s your best friend
As I wish for you to come to me first
I’m in love with you; I’ve become jealous of everyone
So jealous I’ve drowned in my thoughts
Like seaweed being tossed on the shore
I try to survive but I’m drowning in my thoughts
