Don't Change
You’re different! You don’t belong here!
Isn’t this everyone’s biggest fear?
We all fear being that one elephant
That is unaccepted by the herd.
Wouldn’t it be nice to belong?
For everything to move perfectly along?
Everyone wants to belong, even if it means to change,
But what is the point?
Why can’t we just accept people?
Just make them feel less feeble.
These people take it upon themselves to change,
But what is the point?
What is the point in changing to please others?
We are all sisters and brothers,
Yet we turn our backs on those who are different,
Which is silly because we are all the same at heart.
Do me a favor and stay the way you are.
There are people who will judge you for clothes or a car,
But true friends accept you
Just the way you are.
