War
You said you wanted war
The day we met.
You had additional advantages,
A personality like no other,
A persuasive hold on all.
Your competitive eyes say
That you’ve been winning
Throughout both our lives.
Since we declared war,
You lost too many things
In front of your stunned eyes.
I thought you were stronger.
I knew you were stronger.
I’m the only one
Who ever believed in you.
You still pushed me away.
I gained what you lacked,
I had what you lost,
And I took what was yours.
You say I’m winning.
You know it was not planned
For me to claim victory.
You can never regain
What you lost up to today.
And you still want war.
