A Life Long Wait
All her life,
she sought him.
In childhood,
through education,
and even in adulthood.
Until that day,
she stumbled over her shoe,
and fell into his arms.
That feeling of sanctuary
and a dream come true
filled her heart.
Her search was over!
He was tall, skinny, and tan.
He was like
a walking bar of chocolate.
His words could heal any wound
and his sorrow would break any heart
His love could change the world
and his faith could move a mountain.
until that day,
He left her for his wife.
She lost her will to live
And she fell into a depression.
All she did was think about him
until she reached the point
where she had to seek help.
So, she walked into Peter’s office.
Her friend had recommended him.
He was great to talk to.
He fixed her up quickly
and helped her patch up her bruises.
And all through this,
she was falling for him.
She wanted to tell him,
but she didn’t know how.
So, she waited until the day of her
last appointment.
She stepped into the office,
And Peter was not to be seen.
She became sad.
Then, she heard a cough behind her.
She turned around
And on the floor was Peter
saying
“Will you marry me?”
