Finding Myself
Hidden inside the crack some shadows of success lies me. A girl having to be different in order to stick out in whatever way possible. I guess that being in a world with geniuses who can do rocket science, jocks who can run miles in minutes, and heroes saving lives in Africa, I can lose the true meaning of myself easily. Is not so bad? I've come to believe so which is why the lyric by Jessie J. "Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars, seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing it's okay not to be okay," is so important to me. Was I born this way? Maybe. I believe everyone is born with something they are not necessarily proud of. Mine being able to lose who I really am so easily. But what makes this quote so special is it's telling me not to. The stars from this lyric are shining. Bright and full like successful people around me. However, through that blur of my confusion I have to keep focus on myself and make sure I keep my grip as it pulls away from me.
