my view of life after death
You see me here
You come my way
But then you are gone.
Why are you gone?
I asked my friend if she saw your face and wearily said no!
Are you an angle looking over me?
So you can protect me.
Are you a ghost who is a relative to me?
No that can’t be!
But are you a part of me…
You looked familiar you looked so sad,
Why are you sad with your red hair and pale skin with freckles on your face!
And where are your glasses! Uh oh, how do I now you have glasses for you never have worn them!
I sit, I think, I cry to myself in amazement and sorrow.
It is my nana… my grandpa’s mom and we were unrepeatable,
But now look at me what you see have I changed…
All I know is I miss you and I always will.
I miss your face so soft and gentle!
I know that thinking of you holds me back but how do I get on with life?
Nana said, “Forget about me Miss Amanda and live your life freely!
I love you and don’t you cry when I leave.”
She was gone, and I was alone with my tears. Not tears of soreness but of happiness.
My life is complete!
