Gun
If only you couldn't have bought that gun
Maybe in the hands of a kid, who others have shunned
Or maybe in the hands of a deranged stepfather who killed his son Maybe we could have imagined life a little better
So maybe a mom didn't have to write a letter
To her son in jail
He made the choice, but she paid the bail
Maybe if emotions wouldn't go hand in hand with a gun
Chris and Greg might still be here
Nothing can bring them back, not one single tear
Think of all the innocent lives that have been taken
And of all the families that were forsaken
Think of this the next time you buy that gun
Because it might end up in the hands of a kid, who others have shunned.
