The Mirror
Step inside a mirror.
Cold glass. Wall at your back.
People see you as themself,
a shining mirror on wall or shelf.
See the truthful "copycat"
and think "Did I behave like that?"
It mimics objects throughout rooms
Actions, objects, feelings, too.
See them draw near to you
You see their joy, You see their hope
You see them smile, grin or mope
See them look or smile or snear
At you the man inside the mirror.
Not always set on wall are you
Mirrors can be windows or Oceans blue
They can turn you around, change your attitude.
Step closer... take a good look, dude.
It'll change you life. Step up, face your fear.
I wonder if it's fun or drear
for those who step inside a mirror
