How Did it Go Wrong
“How Did it Go Wrong”
A witness to disaster , I couldn’t help but stare in awe
I looked at you
You looked at me
Didn't you see what we were pretending to be
Be that as it may don’t ask me why it was carried out this way
I’m not sure why we were lead astray
Friendships were broken up, and lives were ripped apart
Was what we gained
worth it for what was lost
Lost on a confusing road no one chose
Lost in despair and misery
Never to be seen again
Beating on tender heart strings
of a relationship lead astray
We could never express our true selves
Forever hiding who we are
It's hard to say I love you
When you took my love and drove it to misery
Was what we gained
worth it for what was lost
I think it’s time to give in
Let my emotions do the talking
Why didn’t I think of this before
I wasn’t sure
I wasn’t sure why it had to end this way
Goodbye my love
I hope you read the words written here
I wanted to say that I am sorry
