Too Late
The hall is very cold
And my heart beats very fast.
The light is much too bright,
Crying faces match my own.
We hurry, but too late,
The beeps become a drone.
I see her, no,
I see her corpse.
The door is shutting closed,
I’m not fast enough.
I stumble, it shuts,
She’s gone.
