Apologetic Poisen
Crimson fire burns my feet.
Unwelcome pain that I must greet,
Detrimental thoughts of sad, sad things.
The slimy, evil, dirty trick
That stupid me almost believed.
Who knew your will was to see me dead?
Unknown doom and unguarded dread
Danced in front of my clouded eyes,
Hiding from me the lies inside.
How blind is he who can not see
The evil that all good things bring?
How deaf is he who can not hear
The warnings screamed from far and near?
As deaf as I,
Who does not listen.
As blind as I,
Who does not look.
Like a storm behind a light blue sky.
I apologize, I did not hear you.
Forgive me, for I did not see.
All things clear from all around,
But invisible to me.
