A place where I am surrounded by
by family and friends.
A place where I was raised by
my grandparents.
A place where my household was
full of chaos.
A place where I was brought up
in the church.
A place where my parents
worked to provide for us.
A place where I was told to say
yes ma'm and no sir.
A place where I went
to school.
I place where I got married
and raised children.
A place where I got to see
my grandchildren be born.
The place that is my hometown,
Montgomery, Alabama.
