A getaway
All I hear, is the huge waves crashing onto the shore.
I walk barefoot feeling the sand between my toes.
I glance up at my family all together
Laughter is all anyone would hear;
if there were anyone around.
Were miles, and miles away from any people
Started walking at dawn, never looked back.
We are in our own little universe away from society.
No people
Just our family on our warm vacation.
Walking and walking then finally finding the best spot to stay.
Living out our nice day swimming and laying in the sun
while my dad tries to make us all laugh with unfunny knock knock jokes.
Everyone laughing, even though they aren't even the smallest bit funny
When the day is finally coming to a close, we start walking
having to walk the few miles back to civilization.
But no one wants to go back,
wishing we could stay in our little state of nature for just a little while longer.
But knowing we need to go home,
arriving back
already planning when we can go back to our perfect little spot
The spot where laughter is all anyone hears,
and where the only thing on your mind is family-
and not wanting the little vacation getaway to end.
