People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built. -- Eleanor Roosevelt<br /> People with courage and character always seem sinister to the rest. -- Herman Hesse

The poison flows out with my tears.
It feels so good to cry,
But the tears seep back into my skin
And the tears continue to flow from my eyes.

This poison is forever a part of me.
There is no riddance.
They say look at the girl, she’s so lovely.
The truth is I’ve lost all balance
Of my whole entire life.
They try medications of all brands.
My body always in a strife.
And I can’t find healing hands.

I must carry this poison,
I must carry this burden.
It will never lessen,
I’ll always be hurting.

These tears are the only escape,
But they set themselves in a trap.
I’m festering in every form and shape.
I’ll die from the next slap.

This poison is forever a part of me.
There is no riddance.
They say, “look at that girl, she’s so lovely.”
The truth is I’ve lost all balance
Of my whole entire life.
They try medications of all brands.
My body always in a strife,
And I can’t find healing hands.

I want to be strong,
Strong for that innocent bystander.
I know this internal war will be long.
I cannot let the Poison meander.

His cycle must come to an end.
But the truth is, it never will.
I will never be triumphant.
It’s devastating that I’ll always be ill.
