Trip to Euphoria

Merriam and Webster define
euphoria
as a marked feeling of well being or elation
and elation
as filled with joy.
Meriam and Webster mock me,
proding my soul
for signs of weakness.
I trusted them.
I wasn't even looking up euphoria,
but it's too late now,
the new word mood is ruined.
I guess I'll never know
what sardonic means.
