Pressing down weak fingers
onto smooth ivory
flawless rhythm cry's into the silence
the sound drips off the edge
like thick wet tears
The lovers lost hand
that you can no longer hold
You invision a warm arm cradling your frail body
but you can't quite grasp the happiness
and it slips threw your fingers
like water in the stream
and as the memory escapes your mind
you pull the curtains over the window
and go back to playing
the broken lyrics
of your heart
