This Boy, This Boy
This boy, this boy to me is so dear,
But the pain he causes is more near.
The flirting, the smileys, the undeniable love,
It's treated as if a glove,
On one second, and off the next.
I save the heart touching text,
Hoping to receive another soon.
Our relationship is like a tune,
Addicting for a while till it loses its boom.
I wish upon a star for it to bloom,
Over night, over days, over months, over years.
Instead of tears, I just hope in the end my heart cheers.
This boy, this boy to me is so dear
But the pain he causes is more near.
“Is it my fault god?” I ask in tears.
“Am I the cause of all the love fears?”
“Or is he the source of his anxiety?”
We fit perfectly into society.
Together, we would make happy-ever-after reality.
Our beauty, our love, our mentality.
“Why must my wants be so out of reach?”
“Can't life be like the beach?”
We would just be so complete.
We would be the couple you couldn’t beat.
This boy, this boy to me is so dear
But the pain he causes is more near.
