Turing an Old Rage to a New page
His vibrant baby blue’s scanned my face,
My heart sputtered into a fast pace,
As I told him what I really thought about him,
The scene quickly turned grim.
It was too late to back out now,
Each word I spoke hit him with a POW,
The corners of his mouth were stretched down,
At that moment I just wanted to leave town.
I left him at that spot with an injured heart,
The pain filled in as he realized we had to part,
A grieving man clouded with sorrow,
Wishing for him there was no tomorrow.
Quickly after the pain was rage,
He ripped me out of his life like I was a page,
His temper boiled blistering hot,
Making him sourly screech more often than not.
But his behavior doesn’t bother me much,
Because there is a new guy I sit with at lunch,
He knows how to make me smile,
I want to stay with him for awhile.
His vibrant baby blue’s scanned my face,
My heart sputtered into a fast pace,
As I told him what I really thought about him,
The scene stayed golden and didn’t dim.
