You may have thought
That I didn’t care
You may have been
There but you weren’t
There for me
You may have already lost
Your chance to
Get to know the better part of me
I shine my light in your direction
But you don’t cast a shadow
Because your not really there
I open my eyes and
Smile but you look
Away with a look of
Not being part
You look in my direction
While I glow but you
Don’t let me shine
You’ve forgotten the
Meaning of me and
That is what makes the meaning non existent
