Horror
The corpse grinned in expectation
I recoiled with a start
Before my scream could be released
He had removed my heart.
A lover leaves solid, chilling kisses
Upon his living half,
She loses her head and goes instead
To death by hell’s own shaft
The flickering blade reflects your face,
As the worry damps your brow
A fear so clear it lurks in here,
And takes you all the way down
Despair is not a solid thing,
It wisps through minds like air
Ensnaring the senses to make the consensus
A terror that cannot compare
