Hole in my Chest

A whole in my chest where my heart once was
There's no more beating, there's only pain
He pulled it out and left me to die
His smile victorious as he walked away
I had be sheltered and loved by that boy
But he threw me away like a uesless toy
I was left broken and thrown in the trash
He didn't care, he didn't even glance back
Once he was done with me we were no more
I meant nothing to him and was nothing
He left be to bleed out my pain on the floor
Left workds to cut me with their lack of meaning
Left a hole in my chest where my heart should be
But it was torn from my body only a wound left
He knew what he was doing, that's why he chose me!

The author's comments:
My name is Heather and I'm 16 years old. Last year my heart was broken and a new realm of inpiration was opened to me. Whenever I feel the wounds he left on my heart especially strong I write and this was one of the poems that came from that experiance.
