From the Eyes of a Lock
A dagger thrust at my own heart,
Dictates the way I'm swayed.
Left I stand, and right I yield,
To the twisting of the blade.
Your beating chest
The throbbing pulse
Is all that I can heed
Your arms shaking, pale, and eager
As you entomb that tiny seed
The monkey on your aching back
Sits like a festering sore
You heed his commands like a slave
Hating him more and more
There is too much at stake
There is no way out
The deed has been done
Leave it to decay, and putrefy
For your battles are far from won
