The Little Boy
The little boy awoke smiling with cheer
It was Christmas Eve morning, Santa was near
He decorated his house and trimmed the tree
Preparing for the moment he would finally see
The big bearded man decked out in red
Who comes bearing gifts while most sleep in their beds
The little boy kept his eyes open wide
With milk and cookies right at his side
But as the hours passed through the night
The little boy grew sleepy and his eyes shut tight
Morning dawned and presents had arrived
The little boy rejoiced but still he sighed
Santa had come while he slept peacefully
The magic of Christmas remained a mystery
