there's no more choices left.
besides the choice of death.
wishing there was another way,
or a better path to take.
just to make the pain go away,
yet your memory still remains.
crying out saying please.
biting your lip just to make it bleed.
screaming that you are done.
and finally you shoot the gun.
all the memories of a tortured soul
releasing the mind of which it holds.
noticing the birds that sing.
and all the beauty that life can bring.
you know that the dark has passed.
and no longer can those memories harass.
