First Aid Kit
FIRST AID KIT
Ants bites, bees stings, scratches
“oh just some rubbing alcohol honey”
Cuts, burns, bleeding
“My… Hurry!…get a band aid…quick”
Oh and the blood shots
“Come sweetie let mommy kiss the finger”
Boy, mommy was a true genius.
Always a remedy for all ailments.
Perhaps, that’s why I became a Doctor.
But I can never near equal mommy.
Stitches don’t fix hardened hearts,
And there’s no magic pill for evil.
Surgery doesn’t correct cruelty, and
Intensive care is a fraud, for
honestly, no one cares.
So that’s why I retired.
There was a first aid kit when I was a child
But none, now that I am a MAN?
