Bottom of the Ninth
The crowd was roaring and screaming,
As Johnny walked to the plate.
He could feel his heart soaring,
As he began to contemplate if this was fate.
He dug his left foot in,
And his right foot in too.
He glanced at the pitcher and began to focus in.
Then came the pitch and all was silent,
As Johnny took a big swing
And put all he had behind it.
The ball flew through the air,
Up towards the thousands of fans,
So fast as if it had no time to spare.
The fans went crazy and everyone yelled,
As Johnny circled the bases,
His team stormed the field
And they corralled on Johnny,
To show that he had prevailed!
