The Big Move
Mom stuffed my clothes, ready to go
Where we were going I did not know,
Cold, clear tears pour down my face,
Why did waste leave that wonderful place?
As we left in the car,
I had to look back,
We weren’t going far,
Still cry, that’s a fact.
Few minutes later, pulled up to the house,
Trudged inside, quiet as a mouse,
Big patch of dirt for the front lawn,
Then I knew memories would dawn.
Ten years later,
Still living there,
Everything is greater,
Don’t have a care.
