“Mean Ole Math”

If only I could go to school
Without learning math
My days would be enjoyable
I know this for a fact.
I just can’t stand it!
It’s awful to use numbers all the time!
Math gives me a headache
And sends chills down my spine.
Add this! Subtract that!
Then, divide and multiply!
Now, factor out the variable
YES, just simplify!
NO! I can’t! It’s just too hard
To remember all the rules
Why do I have to do this?
Math can be so cruel!
But like my teacher always says
“Math will never leave.”
So I guess that I’ll just do it
BUT SOMEONE HELP ME, PLEASE!
