Static
Faith that fell like bleeding rain, acid etched promises,
Splashing deep and crimson on the emeralds of a world,
And with a smile so twisted that madness fled its razor edge,
She held her hands to the weeping sky,
Another word, another lie,
And screamed out a question to the uncaring stars.
Another reply hidden behind Echo's unceasing whispers,
Another spark of hope extinguished by the endless static
White noise of too many lives lived with too many regrets,
A labyrinth of illusions,
Of humanity's delusions,
The infinite static of ages of fools.
