War
Soldiers lay awake
Waiting for day to break
Thinking about the day ahead
The brave, the wounded, and the dead
Young men and women scared to death
Afraid of taking a single breath
Bombs exploding, people dying
Soldiers on the ground crying
Not knowing which breath might be their last
The ground shakes with every blast
Band of brothers, band of friends
Knowing today their life might end
Until they come home, only time will tell
But they cannot take much more of this hell
Waking up every morning at four
This is chaos, this is war
