A MAN WITH NO WORDS
I once knew a man
He made me quite sad
I saw him twice in my life time
The one time I saw him awake and moving
I was quite too young to truly comprehend
That he was my uncle
and I would never see him again
The second time I saw him he wasn’t very lively
Everyone was crying but he and I weren’t
Everyone told stories about him, about how wonderful he was
But he and I never said a word
Towards the end I started crying
But he stood like a rock
I guess that’s cause he’s dead and I’m not
I wasn’t crying because I really missed him
I was crying because never had the chance to
Meet the man that a grandmother called son
That a mother called brother that
Me a child called uncle
