A warm wind blows
Ancient gases escape
Blind insects crawl in rows
Through the narrow landscape
Small puddles pool
From dripping limestone rock
Archaic germs prosper
Sun and sky are what they mock
Exposed to air, over years
Silicon makes simple reactions
Quartz gleams as it leers
And becomes an attraction
