The Tale of the Long Winter
The fair maiden her heart she let
Beat in the chest of another.
While she floated on her hearts rejoice,
She found him in throws with her mother.
Torn and broken, she lost her way.
She was now well off the beaten path.
As she wandered, soon she found
A man on which to unleash her wrath.
She beat him till he yelled no more
With her silent woe-filled words.
Lashing out for a strong place to stand,
‘till his face made her run forwards,
‘till her words now rung empty
The past now a whisper of a dream
His tears had fallen to her darkest place
The spring finally igniting in her soul
