Soldier
Somewhere A family sits to dinner.
Somewhere the children laugh and play.
Somewhere too many things to say.
but here, my life, a sinner.
I wash my hands of blood
and though none remains
I can't wash my thoughts of the burned
I cant clean my soul or stem the flood
another day, another plan
another shipment of bodybags
but its all hush hush, more media gags
bullets, tanks, and planes oh my!
Simple sinner, sinning simpleton, explains it all
horror or hemlock, my time to heed the call
