The dawn of Summer dances around me
While warm winds whisper in the air,
Sipped dry is the southern sweet tea,
Young feet run around bare.

Kites fly in the soft breeze

Ice-cream, yes ma'am, please

The dusk of the hushed day,
Ice-cream, yes ma'am, please
Fireflies find their way.
The dusk of the hushed day
Marshmallow toasting light
Fireflies find their way
A peaceful, silent night.
Sleepy children say goodbye
Sipped dry is the southern sweet tea
Dreamers wishes in the sky,
The dawn of summer dances around me.
