Love the War that will Never end
Here we go again,
Taking a breath in this new world of redemption,
Forgetting the horrendous war that brought tension,
Oh can we go back, go back without dissention,
Will our war end?
Two days have gone by,
We haven’t yet dared to say an everlasting word,
Silence will be the end of us, when it’s so absurd,
Tell me, tell me now will this battle come unstirred,
Will non-sense leave?
We say our lies,
Standing on brittle ground,
Swords angled up,
Ready for the death sound,
Not giving up,
Now letting go,
Will ever be our crime,
Never to forgive,
Nor to forget,
This will ever be,
Be our death sentence,
Fighting for home.
How many have to die,
For us to fully know we cannot survive,
We say they must die, who are we to criticize,
For if we don’t forgive, forget how we took lives,
Forever fighting.
We say earth is ours,
That those who survived are to be sentenced to drown,
All of the horrors that they pushed hard to batten down,
Never expecting war to come, like hammers crashing down,
Killing for life.
