Hold On Pain Ends
For endless nights I lie awake, gazing at the sky
You never cared, you never knew and now you wonder why
I only ever wanted you to smile at me kindly
But here I am, on my own, tears gushing blindly
I look around as darkness falls, my room is closing in
I want to end my pointless pain, but to kill is said a sin
Hold on, pain ends, that’s what people say
But what if they’re the ones who hurt others and betray
Curling up in a ball, blankets on the floor
I let you in so easily yet you slammed the door
I actually felt happy, joyful and free
Then you went and caused this hurt trying to destroy me
You must have seen my pain, my crying, but you didn’t care
You broke my heart, you crushed my soul, it’s far too much too bare
For endless nights I lie awake, gazing at the sky
You never cared, you never knew and now you wonder why
