Near and far, we drift apart.
Drifting, drifting, outside our hearts.
Near and far, we leave one another.
Leaving, leaving, a sister or brother.
Near and far, some things must end.
Ending, ending, ne’er to mend.
Near and far, we lose ourselves,
Losing, losing, one can’t foretell.
Near and far, we may find hope,
Hoping, hoping, to find the scope.
The scope of what we may become,
Because near and far isn’t far to come.
