I Cannot Say I Love You
I Cannot Say I Love You
Will you turn once to look back at me?
Down in the dust from your flee
Words I want gone from me
From the bottom of my heart in the blue
I cannot say I love you
I must confess
Sorry to have caused you this mess
Words filling up my mouth
Yet no sense comes out
Why whenever I see you
I shake and cry and sniffle too
But I cannot say I love you
My mirror reveals the reality
Staring back is not me
Just for impressing you
I lost myself in the amidst of foolish act yet
I cannot say I love you
Muddled messes of confusion
I have yet to come to the conclusion
But I know I will never reach my goal
To cover up the hole
Because I when I see you
I cannot say I love you
Three little words
Harder than writing ten thousand
One word to explain my actions: absurd
Yet even when I write this poem about you
I cannot say I love you
My mind goes blank
When my eyes reach yours
These words I wish from myself I could yank
And hope you feel the same way too
I cannot say I love you
Right now I'll rest
Thinking of you is arduous
Long, hard and tedious
Still I can't stop thinking about how
I cannot say I love you.
