I know
I know I must dry my eyes
But what is to come when the tears are gone?
Will I see the clock ticking,
 the lights flickering,
 the blood dripping,
 the world spinning?

I know I must open my ears
But what is to come when the noise comes back?
Will I hear the voices yelling,
 the radio blaring,
 the peers laughing,
 the world crying?

I know I must open my heart
But what is to come when I care again?
Will I feel the warmth of a hug,
 the tingle of a kiss,
 the joy of a laugh,
 the fun of a game?

 I know I must forgive
the mistakes that I have done
and I will forget the reasons
because my future has just begun.
