Reflection
Hey, see that girl over there?
She’s sitting all alone.
Why don’t you sit with her?
The response was a no.
Go talk to her,
and ask her what’s wrong.
You’d probably find out
she ‘aint so strong.
You’d realize she’s sick
with the biggest heartache
from acting so much
for so long, she was fake.
She’d tell you the truth,
how she’s really scared,
how disaster struck her world
when she wasn’t prepared.
Just go and say hi
whatcha worried about?
All she wants is a friend,
someone to help her out,
to talk to, to trust
with everything she feels.
Someone who’s nothing like herself.
Anyone who’s real.
She’s dying for some love,
a little attention and care,
just to be there for her
anytime, anywhere.
You know that girl over there?
She’s, like, a part of me
Cuz when I look in the mirror
She’s all I see.
