Silver-lined Cages
They are birds
Locked in their silver-lined cages
Who have but not the heart to sing.
For they look longingly
At the vast outside
And wish to fly.
When given a chance,
They decline. Being
Too grasping and foolish
To leave the comfort inside and
They're left to wither and die.
