Adolescence
Adolescence
Innocence,
Those crystal blue eyes hold curiosity
The unknown place she entered is a mystery
Her own two feet are ready to become mobile
The beginning of freedom, individuality
Are in these first two steps,
The ground she will conquer, is a mystery
She escapes her safety net
At those front pre-school doors
What she will learn first, is a mystery
Climbing the social ladder,
This concept corrupts her mind
How she will succeed, is a mystery
She needs a doctor,
Her heart is in shambles
The one she fell for, turned out to be a mystery
School work is a struggle
Her future depends on the present
This unknown strain on her life, is a mystery
Adolescence is coming to an end,
It seems she’s overcome everything,
She is ready to finally understand
But the mysteries will never fade
Because they are the lessons in life are what we learn to guide us on our way
