Once Again, Disregarded.
His name, ringing in my head.
I looked over to see him staring right at me.
Heart racing, I smiled.
No response.
Was he looking right through me?
I danced toward him, trying to claim his attention.
Still, unresponsive.
I tried to speak but was muted by the bell.
My second attempt, another failure.
He had already turned around and walked off.
He was gone.
Gone.
Was I invisible?
What a frustrating concept.
Just a tiny fragment.
Unnoticed.
Once again, disregarded.
