A Day in the Life of Me
Every morning when I walk through the door,
I have no idea what my day has in store.
Will it be a good day, relaxed and easy,
Or will enough work be assigned to make me queasy?
Will today be the same, monotonous and boring?
Will something exciting happen, I am imploring?
In Physics I try my best not to go insane,
As I find the force of an object on an inclined plane.
Next I go to Spanish where I sit next to my amiga “Whit,”
In this class I can say “hola,” “can I go to the bathroom?” and that’s about it.
Finally it’s time for PE where I catch up on the latest talk,
If we don’t follow directions, a mile we must walk.
In the lunch line I wait as I hope it’s spaghetti.
Ughh! It’s chicken nuggets, we’ve had this this week already!
At lunch I’m confronted with constant, mindless, chatter,
Who likes who, weekend plans, “You look sick, what’s the matter?”
This one shows off the massive bruise that cheerleading gave her,
While this one has bags under her eyes, must be a research paper.
The end of my day passes much like the rest,
I write an essay in English, take an Advanced Math test.
Nope, today was the same monotonous and boring,
Maybe excitement will come tomorrow, I shouldn’t bother imploring.
