The Red Daffodil
Golden orbs sway in the breeze
Shining on the fertile field
Basking in each other’s light
Standing tall, arrogant
Despite the approaching bleak night
Blanket of blonde flowers
Coats the rolling hills
But there were six scarlet pedals
Reflecting the abundant rays
From the auburn sun
Shunned and ridiculed
Bullied and teased
But who was that flower
That received the enticed stares
From the outsiders, onlookers, gentlemen?
