This Snowflake
These crystal tears fall,
Release me of this pain,
I can’t run anymore,
From this bitter cold,
I’m sorry,
That I let this snowflake;
Melt away
Like the earth beneath our feet,
I’m sorry,
I let you fall;
Like the snow that we once threw,
This crystal white snowflake
That you gave me,
Broke;
Like the very heart in my chest,
Let me keep this broken snowflake,
‘cause the worst is over now,
And the icy blizzard will cover us
With a blanket of snowflakes,
But I want to hold you high;
So you won’t drown in this mess of snow,
I’m sorry,
There’s no one left to find;
This snowflake.
