LOVE
Today seemed like the very worst day of my life,
Everything went wrong and nothing was right,
As I drag my feet up the stairs one foot at a time,
I open my bedroom door, head down,
Tears streaming down my face like a river, my eyes closed.
I slowly bring my head up and gently open my eyes,
And I see you there,
Glowing.
Your face is trying to hide your worry.
As you send a smile in my direction, all the stress fades away,
And I feel the ends of my lips effortlessly lifting.
I thoughtlessly wandered in your direction,
You cradle me in your arms,
And you gently tilt my head up to kiss me.
Everything is okay again.
